The Weber Q 1200 is the most convenient portable grill for tailgating. It’s a gas grill with a cast aluminum firebox. During testing it proved able to handle low-and-slow grilling and heat searing better than similar models. Its dome lid helps to evenly distribute heat and has a built-in thermometer. The Q 1200 also has small side tables that fold out to keep grilling tools within reach. At 30 pounds, it’s light enough for one person to carry and it comes with a five year warranty.
